Business Development Director (Low-Carbon Solutions) - Australia Formative Search is working with a leading provider of innovative EPCIC solutions focused on renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, specializing in offshore wind, floating LNG, and energy transition projects. They are looking for a skilled and results-driven Business Development Director with extensive experience in the oil & gas industry to lead strategic growth efforts across Australia and New Zealand. Key Responsibilities: Formulate and implement business development strategies aimed at expanding the company’s market share in the oil & gas sector. Take charge of sales and marketing initiatives, driving the acquisition of new clients and nurturing long-term business relationships. Provide regular updates and strategic insights to senior leadership on sales performance and market dynamics. Identify new business opportunities and partnerships, while monitoring industry trends and competitive movements to adjust strategies. Lead proposal creation, negotiations, and contract management to secure new business deals. Work closely with technical and project teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects, meeting client expectations. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to strengthen the brand and build a network of potential clients. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure business development strategies align with the company’s overall vision and objectives. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in business development or sales. Strong knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand oil & gas markets and established relationships with key players. A proven track record of securing and managing high-value business contracts and strategic partnerships. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel as needed.
