Business Development Manager (AV/UC Industry / OEM Company / Base Salary up to 140,000AUD) Our client is a multinational company and a leading manufacturer of best-in-class audio products. They are currently seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist to be based in Sydney to join their team. Candidates with sales/BD experience in UC/AV are highly desirable. Responsibilities Lead and support local business partners in identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing market leads and opportunities to reach potential customers in the conferencing market, focusing heavily on the Unified Communications and IT markets. Identify new market segments and opportunities through networking, advertising, or other methods to generate interest from potential customers across key market segments and product lines. Develop and execute educational programs and presentations to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of our product categories. Schedule, coordinate, and help conduct business events and technical training/service sessions to educate business partners, including distributors, system integrators, and consultants on our products’ benefits and to enhance their market development skills and knowledge. Support the development and maintenance of relationships with system integrators, consultants, and end-users by working closely with the team on business processes, providing support on project bidding, management, and commissioning. Work with the Company’s marketing team to arrange conferences, seminars, clinics, and other events by providing technical and logistical support. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports on activities, new leads, opportunity follow-through, and competitive analysis to ensure strategic alignment and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communication/Electronics engineering or a related field or with minimum of 5 years of experience using skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with comprehensive technical knowledge in audio principles and products. Understanding of industry practices and/or company policies/procedures and having experience in market development support processes in the AV, UC/IT Space. Able to demonstrate technical proficiency and accessibility on Audio (Preferably with AV/IT and UC) related products, including onsite support. Having knowledge in AV project design, planning and management in market segments such as, office meeting/collaboration spaces, audio/video conferencing and education environment, a PLUS. Multi-tasking, detail-oriented, well-organized, and time-management skills. Computer literate. Experience with SAP and CRM, as well as Channel management – an ADVANTAGE. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English, with good communication in all levels and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills who is self-motivated, dynamic, passionate, and responsible, demonstrating integrity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to meet tight deadlines, follow through on commitments, and be adaptable to work both independently and as part of a team. Up to 30% of travel annually.
