Role Overview: As the Business Development Manager for Access Rentals in Victoria, you’ll take the lead in building a robust pipeline and establishing new relationships with a wide range of customers, from Tier 1 players to niche operators. With a clear focus on short-term rentals (STR) and major project tenders, you’ll engage prospects, understand their unique needs, and offer tailored rental solutions from our extensive fleet of booms, scissors, telehandlers, and more. While new business is your primary focus, you’ll also manage existing accounts, ensuring top-notch service, identifying additional opportunities, and keeping customers delighted. Backed by a supportive team, you’ll make great use of our CRM and market insights to hit targets, exceed customer expectations, and contribute to high fleet utilisation. A Day in the Life of This Role: Pipeline Builder: Leverage market data, your industry knowledge, and proactive outreach to secure new clients and maintain a continuous flow of opportunities Trusted Advisor: Conduct site surveys, craft proposals, and deliver compelling presentations that match customer requirements and timelines Relationship Cultivator: Nurture accounts, resolve issues swiftly, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth deliveries, returns, and after-sales support Market Insights: Monitor competitor activities, understand industry trends, and keep a pulse on what customers need, ensuring your deals balance both customer value and business objectives Brand Ambassador: Represent Adaptalift at trade shows, networking events, and through targeted social media posts, enhancing our profile and reach in the market What We’re Looking For: Proven success in B2B sales and account management , ideally within the access equipment or capital equipment rental industry A “hunter” mentality .
