Full Time role, located at Hallam – South East Nearly 2 weeks closure over Christmas/NY period Opportunity for growth and movement within the business Motherson Lumen, Australia is a market leader in sourcing, developing and delivering components to the OEM vehicle manufacturers in the global market. The primary role is to generate new business opportunities as well as ensure growth of existing accounts through organic & new products growth opportunities. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Unit, and your key responsibilities will entail the following but are not limited to: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for Aftermarket Sales in consultation with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, the Head of its Business Unit, and the General Manager of Sales. Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships, or new products and services. Create strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities. Build relationships with new clients, gauging their needs, and developing proposals to address these needs. Maintain and develop relationships with current clients. Pitch sales and products to new and existing clients. Attend conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and stay up to date with new trends. Create sales forecasts and actively work towards reaching them. Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to ensure that the requirements are met. Report on the status of accounts and transactions. Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives. Monitor sales metrics (e.g., monthly sales results and annual forecasts). Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth. The successful applicant will have the following qualities: Must have a proven track record in Automotive Aftermarket, Dealership, and/or retail sales. Ideally, having a foundational understanding of the product development process is beneficial. Ability to gather and provide timely customer and dealer market insights, influencing aftermarket parts and services marketing strategies. Knowledge of dealers and other channels. Proactive identification of new business opportunities and growth potential, including customer visits, competitor monitoring, and product recommendations. Skill in building and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Ability to confidently hold meetings with high-profile clients, board members, and senior management. The ability to sell ideas, products, and services. Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and work autonomously. Technical skills to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on the client's requirements. Solid IT skills and knowledge of necessary software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other statistical analysis software. Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude. A strong track record of successfully developing new programs would be highly valued.
