About the Opportunity We are thrilled to offer an incredible opportunity for three motivated sales representatives to join Metcash as Business Development Managers within our newly established Connected Business Unit, focusing on the Tasmanian market for Australian Liquor Marketers. Reporting to the Tasmanian State Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth with both on-premise and retail customers in Tasmania. Your role will involve managing a territory of customers and key groups who rely on ALM for their liquor supply on a daily basis. In addition, you will bring a strong passion for acquiring new business and expanding the product range within our existing customer base. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent some of Tasmania's top liquor brands, a range of renowned Australian domestic wine brands, and some of the world’s most beloved spirit brands. In this Role Focus on achieving key strategies, projects, and initiatives to drive sales growth and ranging of new products. Onboard new customers guiding them through the credit application process, setting up the ALM ordering portal. Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound customer research. Work with Supply partners to sell in new ranging and displays and achieve supply partners key Performance Indicators. Complete business reviews with customers to assess business performance and potential growth opportunities. Identify key opportunities within existing customer base and build a new Business Plan for territory. Develop a business plan for your territory and uncover areas to win new business. Set Ranging targets and deliver best in market execution. You're Likely a Match If Extensive knowledge of retail, supplier experience within the liquor or grocery industry. Highly customer focused. Sound understanding of the Liquor industry and its major suppliers and their product ranges. Intermediate Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong listening and communication skills.
