Dynamic Sales Role- Build & Grow Relationships & Drive Sales for your Store! Total Tools Ipswich is looking for a Full-Time Business Development Manager , who has a real passion for tools & trades. This is an exciting and rare opportunity for you to utilise your current sales skills and experience within a growing and diverse business. This position will suit an experienced sales professional; you will have previous experience as a sales representative, account manager or similar, with an ability to build strong, loyal relationships in the trade and industrial sectors. Having a passion for outstanding customer service will result in delivering the required KPIs, whilst adding real value to our trade customers. You will be an enthusiastic, self-starter, with proven results in driving sales growth in a target driven environment. What will you be doing? Analyse sales data, spend trends, quote conversions and backorder reports to provide business insights. Monitor outstanding quotes, back orders, measure and compare sales analytics, quote conversions, call schedules etc to identify efficiencies and growth opportunities. Develop & maintain relationships with existing clients and suppliers. Continuously identify opportunities to expand the customer base. Prepare objectives in conjunction with the Owner annually and review monthly. Set appropriate business unit objectives and review monthly. Monitor performance of sales and enquiries for each account. Ensure that group guidelines are followed, particularly in relation to customer service. Research and be aware of competitor pricing, offers and activity to better position yourself in the market. Increase transaction values, including items per transaction, through effective sales and negotiation techniques, initiative, and maximising opportunities. Sales and Margin figures should be monitored, and incremental targets met. Ability & confidence to identify new account opportunities, then conduct cold calling if required. Work with the wider team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Handle negotiations and objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Does this sound like you? Basic to intermediate MS Office skills, with a comprehensive understanding of Excel. Demonstrates a high-level customer service and sales. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Good negotiation skills. Organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
