Business Development Manager (Southern Region of NSW/ACT) Weathertex Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia We’re on the hunt for a highly driven Business Development Manager to join our fast-paced Business Development team in NSW/ACT. Reporting to the NSW/ACT State Manager, the focus for this role is to increase the market share and create demand for Weathertex products in the residential and multi-residential segment, primarily with resellers (timber & hardware merchants), builders, developers, specifiers, and installers in the market. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing and new business opportunities within the Southern region of NSW and the ACT. Key responsibilities: Work closely with distributors, reseller merchants, sales reps, builders, installers, developers, specifiers, and key stakeholders to create increased demand for Weathertex product growth within the residential and medium-density housing space. Plan and execute strategies to create demand and sales within your market with the supply chain in place for Weathertex. Retain and grow business opportunities and build a pipeline within your territory. Add value to all commercial stakeholders involved in projects to ensure Weathertex propositions are held at the highest level. Identify key builders, merchants, developers, specifiers, and installers to increase the demand for Weathertex within the market. About you Previous sales/BDM experience selling into the building/construction industry. Degree in relevant business or construction disciplines preferable. A strong capability for gap analysis, understanding market trends, and executing sales plans. Sound knowledge of building practices. Highly networked in the building industry, preferably within the builder or reseller merchant space that plays in the residential/medium density markets. Experience hunting new business opportunities and managing existing stakeholders. Self-starter and team player. Work in a team environment where the success of the individual delivers benefits across the entire team. Innovative, strategic forward thinkers with the ability to balance immediate and long-term deals. Preferably reside in the Southern region of NSW or the ACT.
