Our Partnerships Team plays a critical role in expanding this mission by forging meaningful relationships with vets, breeders, and industry experts who share our passion for pet health.We work at the intersection of science, trust, and innovation, ensuring that our partners are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to recommend Lyka as the best nutritional choice for their clients and communities. Through education, engagement, and commercial collaboration, our team strengthens Lyka's reputation and credibility in the professional pet care space.The Role As a Business Development Manager (Vet), (known internally as Partnerships Manager (Vet)), you will play a pivotal role in building trust and advocacy within the veterinary community. You'll develop and nurture relationships with the vet community, empowering them with education, tools, and support to confidently recommend Lyka's fresh food.Responsibilities Identify and establish strategic partnerships within the Vet channel to drive product advocacy and business growth. Build a deep understanding of the animal nutrition category, applying this knowledge to educate our current and potential partners to drive confidence, trust and action. Handle objections and problem solve; serve as a primary point of contact for partner escalations, and deliver personalised, thoughtful solutions. Constantly ideate and experiment new go-to-market ideas to generate a successful pipeline of strategic contacts. Meticulously manage your pipeline within Hubspot with excellent hygiene and attention to detail. Analyse market trends, partner feedback and other data, to identify new solutions and adjust sales strategies to optimise sales performance. Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal Lyka teams (Sales Ops, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Product, amongst others) to ensure objectives are delivered. Live and work in accordance with Lyka's values and principles at the workplace. Requirements5+ years of experience in business development and sales within evidence-based B2B2C channels (Healthcare, Specialist, Veterinary), with a strong track record of exceeding targets and driving growth. Proven ability to translate scientific evidence into compelling selling messages tailored for healthcare and professional sales channels. You would describe yourself as a self-starter/success oriented: you are great at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and enjoy collaborating with an array of internal teams to drive the best outcomes for our partners. You're a great communicator in all forms, being able to engage and influence effectively at all levels of organisations. An analytical and inquiring mind with the ability to utilise data to drive sales strategy. You're comfortable working within a fast-paced environment and happy to adapt to new situations. You have a love for animals and want to join us in striving for progression in the pet wellness space!
