About the role As the team’s Business Development and Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our firm through an exciting phase for our business. Reporting directly to the Business Development and Marketing Advisor in Sydney, a key focus will be to coordinate and deliver marketing activities for the Sydney teams and market, while also working closely with the broader Business Development and Marketing team to implement national initiatives. Our high-performing team works closely and collaboratively to deliver innovative and creative solutions to our clients. Working with our Partners, Industry Leaders, and teams across the business, you will coordinate events, produce collateral, support proposal creation, and develop and publish digital content that supports the firm’s strategic direction and delivers value for our clients. You will act as a champion of the firm’s brand and have the opportunity to lift the impact our events have on clients and potential clients. Key responsibilities Events and sponsorship Lead the execution of the firm's nationwide client events program by coordinating and executing client events that are closely tied to the business plans and in harmony with brand strategy, reputation, and values. Assist in the preparation and management of event logistics, invitations, budgets, attendee coordination, tracking RSVPs, and reporting requirements. Conduct post-event debriefs to foster continuous improvement and acknowledge achievements. Provide support in organizing and delivering prominent internal staff events, including EOFY and EOY celebrations, as well as other social gatherings. Coordinate and support the firm's involvement in sponsorships and participation in key industry conferences, emphasizing the optimization of return on investment. Business Development and Marketing strategy Responsible for developing, creating, and sending email marketing campaigns. Proactively manage the Firm’s CRM system and ensure data is uploaded in a timely manner. Where required, contribute to and support the creation of brochures, client-related reports, and marketing materials. Provide hands-on support for bespoke responses to tenders and proposals. Offer research support for nationwide business development endeavors. Support monthly reporting requirements for the Firm. Participate in crafting and delivering compelling content for our digital and social media platforms. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to uphold brand advocacy and compliance in all marketing-related activities and collateral. Assist with updating relevant sections of the SW website to ensure the published event information is current. Undertake ad-hoc duties as directed by the Marketing and Events Manager and/or Chief Marketing Officer. Key skills and experience A formal qualification in Marketing or Events Management would be great but it is not essential! We are more interested in professional services experience and the amazing qualities you can bring to our team. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail, exceptional time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines. Ability to be flexible, collaborative, and consultative. Previous experience with large scale events (such as expos and conferences) and client hospitality events would be very highly regarded. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with PowerPoint capability is highly desired. Be comfortable with both physical and digital events such as Zoom webinars. Bi-lingual capabilities (Mandarin) is an advantage. An interest in and some experience in digital marketing (including analytics). You are energetic, positive, enjoy using your initiative and want to be part of a high-performing team but can also work independently when required.
