Primary Objective Business Development is responsible for identifying, creating, and pursuing new business opportunities to grow Omega Chemicals’ market share in the chemical transportation and distribution sector. This role involves managing client relationships, collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs, and developing strategies to achieve company sales targets. The ideal candidate understands the chemical industry and has a sales and business development track record. Responsibilities New Business Acquisition Identify and research potential clients and new market opportunities. Develop and implement strategies to expand Omega Chemicals’ client base and geographic reach. Actively pursue and close sales opportunities through presentations, proposal generation, and contract negotiations. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of Omega Chemicals’ products and services according to client needs. Market and Industry Analysis Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify growth opportunities and potential threats. Conduct industry analysis to stay abreast of regulatory changes, emerging trends, and innovations within the chemical sector. Strategic Planning and Execution Work with management to establish short and long-term business goals. Track and report on key targets and goals offering recommendations to management. Collaborative Leadership Liaise with internal departments such as sales, operations, logistics and customer service to ensure seamless service delivery. Key Performance Indicators Customer Satisfaction. Provide analysis and reporting on industry growth opportunities and targets. Grow our client/customer base. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry or a related field (preferred but not essential). Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a related role. Proven track record of delivering business growth. Strong understanding of B2B sales. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as required. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data and market trends. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Why work for us?
