Environmental Education Centre are seeking a Business Manager to join our team on a temporary full-time basis, until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.The business manager role at an Environmental Education Centre is different to schools, and requires the enthusiasm and desire to learn new skills to operate our client management system for bookings and communication with our visiting schools.Working with a small team, it also requires a multifaceted approach to working, sometimes outside of typical financial roles, to support the functioning of the Centre's daily operations. Our key focus pillars are sustainability, Indigenous perspectives and wellbeing and our services include the delivery of single day programs, events, and partnerships with the intention of connections to place and community.About The Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Operate autonomously to undertake day to day office procedures within well-defined policies (e.g. reception, arranging appointments, correspondence, maintaining school records and general administration); and utilise information and management systems (e.g. OneSchool) to support effective and efficient reporting and administration. Undertake the day to day supervision and management of school support staff, including monitoring workloads and performance (working in collaboration with the Principal for any difficult performance management situations); identifying workforce capability requirements; and role modelling performance standards. Oversee the signatories/approval of timesheets, leave applications, rosters, and arrange relief for school support staff; and organise, undertake and coordinate the recruitment, induction and training of school support staff.
