Department of JusticeCommunity CorrectionsDirectorate Applications must be submitted by Monday 24 February, 2025 11:55 PM AEST Award/Classification: Tasmanian State Service Award - General Stream Band 6 $109,099.00 to $123,395.00 per annum Employment type: Permanent, full-time Region: South The purpose of this role is to provide advice and assistance to the Director and Operations Managers to manage the day to day business and operational functions of Community Corrections including business support systems, recruitment, asset management (incl. buildings, vehicle fleet, IT equipment), review and implementation of workplace, health and safety policies and procedures, and any other corporate functions that are required. Further, the role will support Community Corrections in discharging its obligations and ensure compliance with all regulatory, corporate reporting, budget and departmental management requirements. Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available. Duties Provide high level advice, support, reporting mechanisms and assistance in meeting the organisations strategic goals and in promoting a supportive and collegial work environment through participation in the senior management team. Manage the development of the various reporting functions for the Output including business and strategic planning. Identify, develop, manage, implement and review business strategies, systems, policies and procedures to assist the Director and Operations Managers including advice relating to the improvement of service delivery. This includes statistical reports and KPIs of Community Corrections’ operations. Monitoring and reporting on budget status; management/ payment of all invoices, oversight of HDAs and MRDAs, backfill arrangements and any other financial responsibilities as directed including the preparation of financial reports as required. Coordinating the ongoing maintenance of facilities of workplaces’ state-wide IT equipment and the vehicle fleet state-wide, including reviewing, auditing and improving systems and processes. Coordinating, reviewing and developing Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, including implementation, training and audits. Provide business system support for Community Corrections IT systems, including the provision of training, maintaining the website and intranet as the source of truth for workplace policies and procedures. Assist managers in the development staff including providing advice on performance related issues. Undertake any additional duties within the expected range of work of the position.
