This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new 12-bedded CAMHS service in Surrey, working as a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist employed by Elysium Healthcare but seconded to Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP). You will be part of a talented and experienced multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based and focused treatment plans to support children and young people, aged 13-18, with general mental health Tier 4 presentations including disordered eating. Main duties of the job As a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include: Reviewing referrals and determining appropriateness for admission Conducting admission assessments and maintaining effective management plans Conducting risk assessments and reviewing regularly Allocating specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs Assessing physical health Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams Facilitating regular CPA review meetings Acting as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act Involvement in quality, inspections and governance processes You will also be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota. To be successful in this role, you'll need: Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders desirable What you will get: Competitive annual salary £10,000 signing on fee 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off! Person Specification Qualifications You must be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice. Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders is desirable.
