Job no: 891647Work type: Full timeLocation: Adelaide Metro NorthernCategories: Nursing/Midwifery Women's and Children's Health Network, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Enfield (5085) Salary Classification - RN/M2C - Clinical Nurse/Midwife LV2 - $87,416 to $110,497 Full time - Term Contract (temporary up to 29 August 2025) About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team as a Clinician , where you will be responsible for: Delivering direct child and adolescent mental health care for consumers with complex eating disorder needs, in line with the National Mental Health Policy and Standards for Mental Health Services. Providing services at the Youth Court, Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre, and participating in periodic after-hours work, including Saturdays. Accepting accountability for clinical practice outcomes and addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy for children, adolescents, and their families involved in the forensic system. Ensuring accountability for personal practice standards and activities delegated to others. Conducting assessments, education, counseling, and group work to support consumer health and recovery. Consulting and liaising with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to ensure comprehensive care. Providing direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff using clinical knowledge, skills, and experience. Leading and participating in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice. Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with eating disorders and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines. Demonstrated ability to work and contribute positively in a team environment. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and creativity. Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality client-centred service to the patient. Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve positive outcomes.
