We are excited to invite applications for a permanent full-time Registered Midwife to join our dedicated team across both Gosford and Wyong Hospitals, within the Central Coast Local Health District. In this essential role, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care within a midwifery continuity of care model, working collaboratively with women and their families as well as the multidisciplinary healthcare team. As a Registered Midwife, you will deliver safe and effective maternity care throughout the entire continuum, from antenatal to postnatal care, while working within the midwifery continuity of care model. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to participate in the Home Birth model of Care. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans to achieve the best possible outcomes for women and their families. You will manage emergency situations as they arise, provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff, and contribute to professional development and policy development within the team. Additionally, you will maintain accurate documentation on patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and continuous care. The role also requires active participation in safety and quality initiatives, aligned with National Patient Safety and Quality Standards. About You You have a current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You have recent clinical experience in midwifery. You have an understanding of midwifery group practice and teamwork. You have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, along with proficiency in using information technology to enhance patient care. Where You’ll Be Working You will be working across Gosford and Wyong Hospitals , both located within the picturesque Central Coast Local Health District.
