This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrated skills in Palliative Care to work within the CCLHD Community Nursing service, providing comprehensive care for the needs of clients, carers and families of loved ones living with a life limiting illness. The role will provide clinical and consultative support, along with education and advice to the LHD Community Nursing Teams. The role will also develop relevant and appropriate care standards, and will facilitate formal links with other Primary care providers. The Central Coast Local Health District have two temporary full-time Registered Nurse vacancies to join their Palliative Care Service team. These roles will provide essential support from 2nd February, 2025, until 2 July, 2028, as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, dedicated to delivering high-quality palliative nursing care. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals and their families, while supporting their health and wellbeing goals throughout their palliative journey. About You You have a current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You have recent clinical experience in Palliative Care or extensive experience in a clinical setting relevant to Palliative Care. You have a solid understanding of team nursing, with proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. You have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, along with proficiency in using information technology to enhance patient care. Where You’ll Be Working You will be working within the Palliative Care Service, and will require a current Australian Drivers' Licence and a willingness to travel between sites, where you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team that includes doctors, social workers, chaplains, and allied health professionals. The service provides a comprehensive approach to end-of-life care, focusing on providing comfort and dignity for patients.
