We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Perioperative Registered Nurses to join our team at Wyong Hospital on a temporary part-time basis until 30 June 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the exceptional care provided to patients throughout their perioperative experience.As a Perioperative Registered Nurse at Wyong Hospital, you will be responsible for providing specialised nursing care to patients during their perioperative journey, ensuring their safety and wellbeing before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, ACORN Standards, and ANZCA Standards, undertaking nursing interventions to meet the patient’s health goals. You will collaborate with the wider surgical team, participating in pre-operative assessments, assisting in the operating theatre, and providing post-operative care in recovery. Your role will also involve supervising and mentoring Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), delegating tasks within their scope of practice, and supporting quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. Timely and accurate documentation and communication with patients and the multidisciplinary team will be essential to ensure safe and effective care delivery.About You You have current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline, health management, or project management, alongside demonstrated relevant industry experience. You have recent clinical experience in perioperative nursing. You have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. You have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload.
