Sojitz owns and operates two assets within the Southern Bowen Basin; Gregory Crinum Mine and Meteor Downs South Mine and employs over 600 people. About the Opportunity With the recent development of M Block at the Gregory open cut combined with the Crinum underground operation, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CHPP Maintenance Supervisor to join the Gregory Mine Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) to support the plants increasing uplift in production. Duties will include but not be limited to the following: Supervise maintenance crews to ensure the CHPP plant maintenance with a focus on continuous improvements and repairs to improve the CHPP throughput. Assist the operations team on breakdowns as required. Plant areas covered include: Top Floor, Bottom Floor, Yard and Train Load Out. Ensuring safe workplace is maintained with CHPP compliance to site Safety and Health Management system, operating procedures and plans. Work closely with the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent and Planner to develop maintenance tactics, plans, procedures and schedules to improve safety, efficiency and optimise cost. Provide coaching and mentoring of maintenance personnel. Performance management of maintenance personnel. Coordinate maintenance crew rosters to ensure adequate coverage across crews. Ensure statutory inspections and reports are completed and identified non-conformances are addressed. Raising, reviewing and prioritising work orders and work requests. Assist in delivering a continuous improvement focus and outcomes. About you As a successful candidate, you will be working within a dedicated CHPP team, reporting to a well-respected Superintendent. As the CHPP Maintenance Supervisor, a core focus of your role is responsible for managing the maintenance activities for the CHPP encompassing Raw Coal through to Train Load out, in conjunction with the CHPP leadership team. The successful candidate will display the following skills, experience, attributes, and qualifications: Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications. 3-5 years’ experience in CHPP Maintenance environment. 2+ years of working at a Supervisor level.
