The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in South East Sydney. From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too. As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community. We are seeking a Cantonese or Mandarin speaking volunteer to visit an elderly lady in care. During your visits to the care home, you will provide social support and engagement through conversation. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
