Career Opportunities: Capacity and Performance Specialist (11989) Working within the Service Design and Experience team the Capacity and Performance Specialist ensures that IT capacity and performance meets business requirements satisfying current and future demand in a timely and cost-effective way. The role owns key capacity and performance planning and management processes, goals and metrics and works closely with business stakeholders and Digital teams to ensure operational designs and plans align to meet those goals. The role works collaboratively to drive alignment on capacity and performance, ensuring service availability and performance KPI’s are achieved. The role monitors live services using data to identify trends, usage and performance metrics to prevent incident, manage costs and assure the customer experience. The role Planning, design and management of the capability, performance, functionality and sustainability of service components to meet business needs. This includes strategic and lifecycle planning. Applying data-driven insights to model long-term changes and short-term variations in the level of capacity required to execute the service. Implementing capacity management practices to support cloud-based services and ensure flexible and scalable capacity. Continuously monitoring, reporting and optimising resource utilisation to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient use of resources. Managing and reporting on risks related to Capacity. Monitors and reports on capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics. Contributes to the planning and implementation of new installations and scheduled maintenance and changes of existing systems. Experience and Knowledge Demonstrated experience in a mid-senior Capacity Management role. Proven knowledge of Capacity Management frameworks, tools and processes. Strong influencing and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Confident managing complexity and competing priorities with strong decision making skills and a strong ability to operate under pressure. Education/ Certificates Tertiary and/or post graduate qualifications in an appropriate technology discipline. ITIL v4 Foundation mandatory. Due to the requirements of this role, you must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance.
