The Social Financial Wellbeing Service supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people on pathways to self-reliance and empowerment through local community-driven solutions that strengthen social and economic participation. About the role This role works with individuals, family groups and employers to identify and address underlying issues that may act as barriers to securing and maintaining financial independence or sustainable employment. As the Case Worker, you will use a person-centred, culturally appropriate approach to work with individuals, family groups and employers. Within a case management framework, you will develop and implement individualised case plans to ensure participants are supported to identify strengths and develop strategies to overcome barriers, enhance connections with community-based supports, build resilience and move towards financial stability and independence. Whilst based in Kalgoorlie, the role will require travel to outlying communities to facilitate outreach service delivery. Desired Skills and Experience About you You are a passionate and talented individual who wants to be part of a team who delivers quality services to our clients. To be successful in this role you will have: A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work, Health Promotion or significant experience working in case management and/or with Aboriginal communities Demonstrated experience working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups Demonstrated case management skills and ability to assess, inform, advise, support, and refer clients. Demonstrated understanding of the issues affecting people experiencing financial hardship and unemployment Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills Experience working in an outreach capacity in local communities is highly desirable The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Card and a WA Drivers Licence.
