About the role: The Casework Coordinator, (Intensive Therapeutic Care) provides operational leadership and ensures compliance with MacKillop’s Policies and Procedures, OOHC standards, relevant legislation and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) contractual requirements. The Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of high quality casework services to provide positive outcomes for children, young people and their families. The ITC Casework Coordinator will work collaboratively with caseworkers in the provision of specialist casework such as restoration, guardianship and adoption and contribute to the enhancement of these practices by: Developing effective relationships with key external stakeholders to comply with the requirements of the DCJ PSP Rules and Guidelines; Establishing collaborative relationships with a wide range of specialist and mainstream services to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families; Ensuring the Sanctuary Model is embedded in systems and practice and reflects MacKillop’s values. This is a Permanent full-time position (38hrs per week) based in Grafton or Lismore (NSW) within our Intensive Therapeutic Care Program. The position reports to the Principal Practitioner. Key Selection Criteria: A bachelor’s degree in social work or equivalent, or significant work experience in a relevant field plus a qualification in Youth Work, Welfare or other related field. Demonstrated experiences in child protection, child welfare practice or a related field. A knowledge of relevant Community Service Organisations, local and State Government (DHHS) and the ability to network with these services. Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
