Northern NSW Casework Support Worker Ongoing opportunities available. A Talent Pool will also be created and used to fill any future temporary and ongoing vacancies that may arise. This is valid for a period of up to 18 months. Salary: $82,193 - $90,001 plus super and leave loading. We have Community Service Centres (CSCs) in the following locations across the district that you could work in: Tweed Heads, Ballina, Lismore and Grafton Your role As a Casework Support Worker you will be an integral part of the child protection team helping Child Protection Caseworkers in their day-to-day work. You will contribute to keeping children, young people, families and communities in varied and challenging circumstances safe by undertaking tasks which support case planning and documentation, referrals and appointments, case visits and day-to-day team priorities. No two days will be the same. One day you will be helping caseworkers prepare documentation or will help with case planning for children and young people and the next day you’ll be sourcing and sharing information about families and making referrals or appointments. Whether you are Indigenous and have some experience working within your community and/or have a Diploma or are currently completing your degree in social work, social science or related, this is a role for you to further gain significant experience working within the Child Protection field. Ideally you will have Some experience working with vulnerable and diverse groups in the community. The ability to organise work and prioritise workload in a busy work environment. Strong record keeping skills or the willingness to learn. A passion for supporting the work of child protection caseworkers. What we need A Diploma in welfare/community services and/or relevant equivalent work experience.
