Job Description

Casual ELICOS Teachers Required for Teaching Communicative English Classes We are looking for passionate English language teachers to join our growing Sydney team in the CBD campus. Established in Melbourne in 2007, Lonsdale Institute is founded on a belief in the student experience. Through the diversity and insight of our team of professionals, we deliver English language courses and vocational skill-based training across three central locations in Sydney, Bondi, and Melbourne. With our team of experienced TESOL teachers, we strive to be a leader in ELICOS. We focus on communicative learning and multimodal approaches to teaching. Our success today is because of our talented and creative team of teachers. Our teachers develop through a combination of in-house PD sessions and teacher feedback to improve our learning material and testing systems. Timings Morning – 8.30am – 1.00pm (additional hours for intensive classes are offered Monday - Wednesday) Evening – 4.45pm – 9.00pm We are seeking experienced and energetic casual teachers with outgoing personalities who can create vibrant and engaging lessons and will fit in very comfortably in our talented teaching team. We are looking for teachers with regular evening availability. Work Environment Modern facilities near train and tram stations. Professional and friendly environment for both teachers and students. Regular and fun team building and PD opportunities. Responsibilities Delivering fun lessons using Communicative and Task-based Approaches. Willingness to learn and develop and be a supportive team member. The usual administration tasks such as marking attendance. All applicants must be experienced and satisfy minimum teaching qualifications set out by NEAS. Further details on minimum qualifications can be found at: NEAS Teaching Qualifications . The hourly rate varies depending on qualifications and teaching experience from approximately $50 to $69 an hour (casual rate) and is based on the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award.
