This role offers an agile 3,2 working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. What will this role achieve? The pladis Category Team is a focused and dedicated team with a clear ambition to be seen as the #1 category authority by our customers. The role of the pladis Category Management team is to help our retail customers and pladis to grow sales of snacking products through the provision of industry-leading shopper, retailer, and market insights. Reporting into the Snr Category Manager, this category development manager is accountable for providing category leadership and developing and implementing plans that deliver category growth specifically for Bargain stores and Ireland. What will be your key deliverables? CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS: Build an ongoing relationship with the Buyers, as well as the category planning manager and broaden engagement. CATEGORY GROWTH PLANS: In conjunction with the Category Controller/Snr Category Manager, build a Category Growth plan for Biscuits. CATEGORY FUNDAMENTALS: Develop and implement differentiated strategies and tactics for focus categories & customer(s). INSIGHTS TO ACTIONS, ANALYSIS AND REPORTING: Interpret all available industry, category, customer and shopper data turning it into useful insights. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Adopt the spirit of continuous improvement and share the best ways of working. Essential Good social skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Strong numeric and literacy skills. Excellent problem solving, data analysis and interpretation skills. Desirable Category experience. Demonstrate a sound capability of technical understanding of key production plant. Ability to clearly understand engineering drawings, symbols and notation. Experience of carrying out a similar role within a Manufacturing, Production or Automated environment.
