About the Role Reporting to the General Manager - Merchandise Execution, you will provide leadership to the Category Execution team and collectively bring to life each category’s merchandising vision across the fleet. Key Responsibilities and Requirements: Provide direction and guidance to the Category Execution team to plan, organise, and action merchandising projects in stores, managing their workload effectively and ensuring they receive training and feedback for their growth. Collaborate with the Senior leadership team across the business including Store Operations, Store Development, Buying teams, and brand partners to ensure that all projects and in-store displays align with business strategies. Ensure best-in-class display solutions to provide a market-leading customer experience, meeting all safety, operational, marketing, and maintenance requirements. Manage budget and operational costs, coordinating allocated capex for merchandising projects and tracking overall claims with Buyers and Store Development. Work closely with the Merchandising Implementation Manager to provide merchandising standards to be used across the store network, ensuring continuous improvement in merchandising excellence. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring continuous improvement in processes that reduce complexity and errors, and manage all tenders on major projects. Support the management of contracts for branded execution and supplier agreements, ensuring all branded displays meet business criteria. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the IIBP team on strategies to reduce theft, and with Safety to ensure all team members are safe in merchandising activities. Identify root causes of problems and create process changes to improve efficiencies across the team. About You At least 10 years’ experience in retail execution across brands or retailers. Experience managing a high-performing team with multiple objectives and concurrent projects. Experience with large project roll-outs and category development. Confident in influencing and providing feedback/direction to stakeholders. Knowledge of budgeting. Good time management and organisational skills. Ideally, relevant tertiary qualifications (Business/marketing/commerce degree). Proficient experience across Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
