Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. Multiple casual positions available. About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic, well-presented individuals to join our professional guest-oriented Food Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, plating, and delivering patient meals, ensuring a clean environment is maintained, and the collection and cleaning of meal trays. To be successful, you will have exceptional customer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must be available for both morning and afternoon shifts on a 7-day rotating roster. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a hospital or hospital environment Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable) Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles Proven ability to prioritise tasks effectively Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus Ability to problem solve and maintain good working relations with others You set high standards for food safety and infection control About the Organisation The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, a global operator of private hospitals and primary care clinics with 72 Australian sites employing over 34,000 people.
