About this role We’re looking for a Central Business Support Officer to join our Finance team and help drive efficiency, compliance, and financial support across our vital services. As a Central Business Support Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial and administrative operations of our Residential Aged Care, Home Care, Retirement Living, and Housing services. You’ll work closely with internal teams, government agencies, residents and clients to process financial transactions, maintain compliance, and support the organization’s mission of delivering high-quality, person-centered care. Key Responsibilities Financial Transactions & Compliance – Processing government funding claims, managing resident and client accounts, and ensuring billing and payments align with legislative and contractual requirements. Accounts & Reconciliations – Handling accounts payable and receivable, completing reconciliations, and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date. Resident & Client Support – Assisting with admissions, discharges, and refunds while maintaining detailed financial records and ensuring transparency in transactions. Documentation & Contracts – Reviewing and maintaining agreements for residents, home care clients, and housing tenants, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations. Government Reporting & Notifications – Monitoring and actioning government notifications related to funding, subsidies, and resident entitlements, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. Data & Insights – Preparing financial reports, analyzing trends, and providing insights to help improve business processes and service delivery. Process Improvement – Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency in financial administration and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. By supporting these essential functions, you’ll help ensure that vulnerable individuals and families receive the care, services, and housing they need, with financial transparency and efficiency at the core of our mission. What you can bring to the team We’re seeking an experienced and detail-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a passion for providing efficient financial and administrative support. You’ll be an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our services and helping us maintain the highest standards of care, compliance, and financial integrity. To be suitable for the position, ideally you have: Minimum 4 years in business support, financial administration, or a similar role. Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (highly regarded). Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. High level of accuracy and compliance focus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
