Orchard ELC is seeking an experienced director to take on and lead our newly built service in St Ives. 31st January, 2025 Sustainability – Paddock to Plate – RIE & Risky Play Location: St Ives We are currently looking for an exemplary and experienced Director committed to providing strong and innovative leadership. The Centre Director will lead a focused approach to embed exceeding practices as per NQS, build connections within the community, and create a positive reputation in early childhood education and customer service. The right person for this position will have experience as a Nominated Supervisor, strong staff management skills, excellent pedagogy, understanding of operational and budget needs, as well as being agile and adaptable. About you Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching or a Diploma WWC, First Aid Certificate, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates and child protection Proven experience in leading and developing a large team of professional educators. High level ECEC operational management skills are expected Business management abilities together with confident people management skills Passion for coaching, mentoring, and growing educators Established people and leadership skills Experience with OWNA (preferred) Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including documentation skills Superior knowledge of EYLF and NQS Strong knowledge and understanding of Educaring philosophy, Circle of Security, and RIE Previous working experience as a director is essential, or proven leadership skills Salary based on experience and qualifications. Orchard Early Learning Centre St Ives has an amazing outdoor play area, the centre is spread across two levels, with defined Nursery and Preschool levels. The bright and airy rooms flow directly onto the outdoor learning environments, immersing children in our Paddock to Plate philosophy. The service operates from 6.30am - 6.30pm and is located on Mona Vale Road opposite Bridgedine College, close to public transport and local street parking available.
