This role will assist in leading the kitchen team to develop a unique dining experience for all guests dining throughout the resort. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to coordinate a team in a high-end kitchen, demonstrate excellent cost control, and repeatedly achieve solid results compared to budget and prior years. You must be hands-on throughout the operation, and it is expected that you spend peak periods with the team getting your "hands dirty" and leading by example. In a typical day in this role, you might: Assist the executive chef to create and design a menu that aligns with our concept and ensure our guests leave smiling. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of managing financial reporting including menu costing, COGs, labour, and wastage. Commit to maintaining high and consistent standards of products throughout the restaurant. Demonstrate knowledge of and practice the established Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) guidelines. To be considered for this role, you should have: Certificate III Commercial Cookery as a minimum. A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar position. Demonstrated strong leadership skills. Food handling/safety certificate is highly desirable.
