Job Description - Chef/Qualified Cook - Casual and Part-time (016105) Requisition ID 016105 Description SkyPoint is seeking a passionate and talented Chef or Qualified Cook to join our team on a casual or part-time basis, where you can craft creative menu options in a bustling, customer-focused setting. As a part-time team member, you will accrue leave entitlements on a pro-rata basis and will be given priority to rostered hours. Good availability and flexibility with working hours are essential. Shifts will vary ranging from early mornings, afternoons, late nights, weekends, and Public Holidays. About the Role: Located on the 77th floor of the Gold Coast’s Q1 building, SkyPoint Bistro+Bar serves delightful breakfasts and all-day café-style dining. As a qualified chef, you will be responsible for: Preparing diverse and creative menu options in a high-volume setting. Working collaboratively with a team to deliver outstanding experiences. Maintaining a high standard of food safety and hygiene in line with HACCP standards. Minimum Requirements: For your application to be considered you must: Have a strong previous background across functions, a la carte service and/or café-style service. Be fully conversant with all aspects of high-volume food preparation and presentation. Possess a Cert III in Commercial Cookery. Have experience and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Be reliable and a self-motivated team player with an eye for detail and exceptional interpersonal skills. Be flexible with availability including the ability to work a range of shifts including weekends, mornings, and evenings. Have good physical dexterity with the ability to perform physically demanding work. Have a good working knowledge and practical application of HACCP standards.
