About our team The ABF College (College) designs, develops and delivers specialist vocational training to ensure that officers have the skills, knowledge and confidence to undertake their roles safely, legally and professionally. Headquartered in Canberra, the College has campuses and training hubs across Australia. The College is comprised of five faculties and two units: Compliance, Investigations & Trade Faculty, College Coordination Unit, Foundational Capability Faculty, Leadership & Learning Modernisation Faculty, Maritime, Marine & Littoral Faculty, Operational Safety Training Unit and Program Development Faculty. The Marine, Maritime & Littoral Faculty delivers an integrated curriculum of specialist vocational training to enable frontline officers deployed to the maritime domain to undertake their roles. The Faculty has three delivery streams, Marine, Maritime and Littoral Vessel, each headed up by a Chief Instructor, and a Training Coordination Unit led by an Inspector. Our ideal candidate Work with autonomy and accountability in interpreting policy and the application of practices and procedures, providing specialist advice to policy areas and management teams. Build, support and maintain complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Lead and inspire effective teams, provide direction and guidance, addressing staffing matters early and managing performance issues. Demonstrated ability in supporting staff to adapt and respond to new challenges in a changing environment. Model and promote ethical, inclusive and equitable behaviour, the APS Values and Code of Conduct. The key duties of the position include Duties and responsibilities Leading the effective delivery of the Faculty's training curriculum. Proactively contribute to and influence the evolution of the College's quality assurance framework. Undertake a leadership and quality assurance role in the design, development and continual improvement of training material, curriculum content, learning outcomes for competency-based training and assessment specific to specialist vocational training. Support their Superintendent through quality assurance / quality control of training delivery, including development of training reports within required timeframes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
