The City provides a full range of municipal services including Police, Planning, Building, Streets, Parks, and Utilities. Job Description As the Chief of Police for the City of Ferndale, you will lead a dynamic law enforcement team dedicated to serving our community. You will oversee all aspects of policing, including policy development, personnel management, and collaborative partnerships with local agencies. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Police Department Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote public safety and trust Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, elected officials, and other key partners Requirements Bachelor's degree in a law enforcement-related field or equivalent experience 10 years of law enforcement experience, including 5 years of supervisory or command-level experience Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record Meet the requirements for Peace Officer Certification under RCW 43.101.095 The City of Ferndale, Washington is seeking an experienced law enforcement professional with outstanding leadership skills to serve as Chief of Police. #J-18808-Ljbffr
