About The Role At Birra Li, you will play an integral role in providing holistic, culturally safe care to Aboriginal women, their babies, and families. Your responsibilities will include providing essential health services such as conducting comprehensive health assessments and providing development checks and immunisations for children from birth to 5 years. You will provide evidence-based guidance and education to parents on nutrition, sleep, and child development, advocating for families and connecting them with community resources and support services. Rooted in a deep respect for the Awabakal and Worimi peoples, our approach ensures every family receives care that is both culturally meaningful and responsive. In this role, you will collaborate closely with an Aboriginal Health Worker within their scope of practice. Based at Newcastle Community Health Centre, you will also travel to outreach clinics and conduct home visits alongside your allocated Aboriginal Health Worker, delivering personalised care directly to the community.
