We are seeking an experienced full-time Children Services Manager to lead our Children Services Department, with a specific focus on overseeing our High Intensity Outside School Hours Care programs. Kalianna School Bendigo Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child development, program management, and a passion for creating enriching experiences for children outside of regular school hours. The Children Services Manager is also expected to effectively supervise, manage and support the team to ensure delivery of the service objectives by providing essential skills, knowledge and support to the team and will be required to provide consultation and assistance relevant to the workplace. The Children Services Manager is reported to by the onsite OSHC Coordinators and 2IC’s. This role will operate out of Bendigo and oversee programs in Central Victoria and Melbourne’s outer western suburbs. Remuneration commencing at SCHADS Level 6 plus salary packaging to reduce the tax you pay and increase your take-home pay (as per PBI status). You will also have the use of a company car. Your role at a glance You will manage the daily operations of our Children Services Department, including: Lead the development of engaging, age-appropriate activities for child development. Lead collaboration with parents, caregivers, and staff to create an inclusive environment. Provide leadership, guidance and staff supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations. Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance program offerings. Lead and enforce the maintenance of accurate program records. Ensure compliance with laws and safety standards. Create and monitor child services policies and procedures. The ideal candidate must have: A recognised diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Three or more years of leadership experience in child services, education, disabilities or other relevant fields. Passion for child development and education. Strong ethics, child safety awareness, and work health and safety knowledge. Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in the face of change.
