We are seeking an experienced Civil Business Development Consultant interested in joining us to support our growing Project Management business. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic business development person who genuinely loves talking with people, a self-starter with drive and initiative. As dedicated & highly specialised Civil Roads Infrastructure Project Managers, we supply 'Pre-Qualified' resources to State, Local Gov't and other Construction Consultants. We have a very unique offering to clients which focuses on quality rather than quantity. Mandatory Experience (please address this criteria in a cover letter) As a guide, ideally you would need at least 5 years business development experience in a prior Civil Construction Industry role, preferably with a strong network of contacts or the ability to quickly identify them. You may have been working for a construction consultant or a recruitment company. Some exposure to dealing with clients within State Gov't &/or local candidates would be advantageous. You would have access to & the support of Civil Engineering Managers and a Principal Recruitment Consultant. There is a lot of phone and email communications in this role, so high levels of verbal and written English comprehension and expression are critical. Thinking on your feet, using your initiative and providing genuine considered responses are a regular requirement of the role. Obtaining & recording information & market intelligence is an important part of the role, so touch typing skills would be a huge advantage. Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills with Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, Windows & Cloud file management systems and Outlook email. Preference will also be given to someone with Intermediate to Advanced skills with the Jobadder Database & Tracking Software. Due to working remotely from your own home While the role is flexible, you would be a 'self-starter' and disciplined to focus on the workload during the hours you choose to schedule work. It is a requirement to already have your own reliable computer hardware & fast internet access. It would be a distinct advantage if you have worked in an 'unsupervised or remote type role' previously. At this stage, the role is flexible & being offered for around 10 to 20 hours per week with a degree of flexibility, which may increase with business growth. We will negotiate a reasonable rate, rather than the usual retainer/commission industry structure. Mandatory Selection Criteria While a lot of travel is not normally anticipated, you must already have a valid Australian driver's licence and own personal transport to attend our office in Loganholme or meet with clients within the Gold Coast to Sunshine Coast & west to Toowoomba region. Preference will be given to someone already living within that region to ensure safe driving travel times between locations when necessary. Due to the local geographical & network knowledge, we are unable to accept applications from outside Australia & you must already be a permanent resident and satisfy the rest of the selection criteria.
