About the Role The successful applicant will provide cost estimation and tendering support to ensure projects align with budget, time, and compliance requirements. They will develop accurate cost assessments, manage financial risks, and contribute to competitive bidding. Additionally, the applicant may be site-based and will support works planning and cost control to ensure projects meet time, budget, and safety targets. They will play a key role in ensuring compliance with client and stakeholder requirements while maintaining quality standards. The RTL business is committed to pursuing new work in construction and earthworks to support the diversification strategy of the business and is seeking an applicant who will be influential in the construction business unit for sustainable growth. To be considered for this role, the following are essential: Key Responsibilities : Construction Management: Oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain project timelines, resolve issues, and report progress. Conduct site inspections, assist with scheduling and budgeting, and uphold industry best practices. Foster strong communication, teamwork, and leadership in fast-paced environments. To provide engineering and planning support to the project team for construction projects. Ensure all contracted project work is planned and coordinated in accordance with the clients’ requirements and procedures. Estimator and Tendering: Develop and submit cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Analyse project requirements and specifications to prepare tenders. Perform material take-offs, labour estimates, and subcontractor evaluations. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining compliance and feasibility. Support bid strategies, contract negotiations, and procurement processes. Track market trends, supplier pricing, and industry developments for precise cost assessments. Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, safety standards, and contract management. Proficiency in project management and estimating software. Valid driver's license and relevant Australian experience. Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
