Position Overview The Civil Engineering Draftsperson will support project design and planning through detailed drafting, cost estimation, and budgeting. They will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the efficient execution of steel fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams using CAD software. Review project specifications and incorporate engineering changes. Assist in estimating material quantities and project costs. Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations. Maintain and organize project documentation. Analyse blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate budgets and timelines. Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project goals and ensure feasibility. Maintain organized records of estimates, material lists, and pricing data for future reference. Qualifications Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in steel detailing/design and cost estimation within the construction or fabrication industry. A relevant qualification. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
