Job Description

Job Title: Site Manager Location: Army Training camp in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia Rotation: 2 weeks ON, 1 week OFF, 7 days per week, 10 hours per day Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension Our Client: Our client is an ASX listed Engineering, Construction and Remediation project contractor with a fast-growing national presence. They lead the way in providing whole-of-life solutions for assets across the Defense, Marine, Mining, Energy and Commercial sectors. Their portfolio of unique and complex projects includes Defense buildings and infrastructure, ports and wharves, power stations, stadiums and historic buildings, just to name a few. Scope: Responsible for the overall management of projects on-site including planning, coordination and overseeing works and resources on the project to support the successful delivery of works safely, on time, to scope and to budget. Key Responsibilities: Manage on-site works on projects from initial site set up to on-site completion. Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements. Ensure the project site, premises, plant & equipment are maintained, fully operational and in a tidy condition. Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of projects to ensure the project runs to schedule and in budget. Coordinate direct labor, labor-hire and subcontractors. Oversee Supervisors to ensure the efficient and appropriate delegation of work activities. Liaise with various internal teams including HSEQ, engineering, procurement and administration. Complete project progress reporting and weekly meetings. Provide advice on any technical, trade or engineering issues (if applicable). Qualifications & Experience: Construction induction white/blue Card Senior First Aid Cert IV in OHS Cert IV Leadership and Management Training and Assessing certification Trade background Driver’s license Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry. Previous experience in construction remediation projects. Extensive site management and delivery skills, including budgeting, coordinating work priorities, cost control, stakeholder management, subcontractor management, documentation, statutory approvals, and leading project teams. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and MS Project. Ability to obtain a clear police check (when needed). Experience working on Defense Projects (if applicable). #J-18808-Ljbffr
