The Gig An exciting opportunity has become available for a Civil Supervisor to join a major project. With strong backing from local and state governments, you’ll play a key role in delivering major work packages, including a community land development and a state-of-the-art recycling facility. Based on site in Kurnell and reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will oversee site safety, manage on-site staff and subcontractors, control workflow, and effectively allocate resources to ensure the project meets its timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards. The project will include a variety of works packages including earthworks, utilities, drainage, and large structures. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the local community while playing a key part in developing a cutting-edge resource recovery facility that will redefine sustainability and innovation. You will be trusted with: Supervising daily site operations to ensure civil works like earthworks, drainage, and utilities are completed safely. Monitoring on-site safety, environmental, and project compliance, taking corrective action when necessary. Coordinating subcontractors and site teams to complete tasks efficiently and to high-quality standards. Conducting regular site inspections to identify and resolve quality or design issues quickly. Managing material deliveries and usage, ensuring timely allocation and minimising waste. Keeping accurate records of daily progress, safety checks, and incidents for clear documentation. Coordinating site activities across phases to ensure smooth transitions and on-time completion. Providing feedback to engineers and designers on site conditions, suggesting improvements as needed. Communicating effectively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site issues promptly. What’s in your toolbox? 5 years extensive Civil Site Supervisor experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Current Drivers Licence – Class C. General Construction Induction Card (Whitecard). You are a strong communicator and problem solver who leads by example, motivating your team. With excellent organisational skills, you manage complex projects with confidence.
