About the role: We have an exciting opportunity within our Claims team for someone with a passion for providing exceptional customer service experience to our valued members to join the team as a Claims Manager (Motor), responsible for case managing a portfolio of claims. We’re looking for resilient, empathetic and exceptional communicators with claims handling experience, or related experience in the Insurance Industry i.e. workers compensation Insurance, Life insurance, Medical Aid Insurance or broker claims management who have the ability to interact with a diverse range of people. Reporting to the Claims Management Team Leader (Motor), you will be responsible for settling insurance claims, answering customer and service provider questions on a range of claims topics, in particular motor claims, such as explaining the claims process, providing progress updates to customers about the status of their claim, making claims decisions and settling claims. The role is permanent fulltime (38 hours per week) between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday (no weekends). The role is predominately office based, but there is the possibility of working from home. What We’re Looking For: Well-developed customer service and conflict resolution skills (minimum of 3 years in a customer service role). Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people. Demonstrated ability to conduct research, gather evidence and analyse information. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. High level of computer literacy, particularly with common office applications. Very high level of confidentiality, discretion and judgement. Demonstrated reliability with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Demonstrated passion to work in a high achievement, outcome driven team. A flexible mindset and be resilient to adapt and thrive in a changing environment. Energy and enthusiasm and be an engaged team player.
