In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to make a significant impact. Reporting directly to the General Manager and partnering both internally and externally, you will join a dedicated leadership team, driving innovation, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Location : SydneyType : Full-time, PermanentWork Model: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home) Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain claims reporting frameworks for accurate and timely insights. Enhance the seamless operation of the claims function, aligning with business objectives and client expectations. Manage the Claims Quality Assurance Framework, including audits, reports, and feedback. Confidently handle settlements with clients. Deliver optimal client outcomes using appropriate claims guidelines. Create and present reports using Excel, Power BI, and claims systems to monitor performance and drive efficiencies. Handle a portfolio of major and/or complex claims from lodgement to finalisation. Manage performance of external suppliers to ensure client service. Lead and contribute to claims projects and transformation initiatives. Manage relationships with external claims suppliers, including assessors, loss adjusters, and legal providers. Ensure claims risk management, controls, and governance processes are maintained. Adhere to financial service requirements for claims. About You: Minimum 7+ years of claims experience in General Insurance, with a focus on property claims and an understanding of liability claims. Deep knowledge of GI claims handling, reserving principles, and regulatory requirements. Proven expertise in the general insurance value chain and supplier management. Preferred qualifications in General Insurance (Certificate IV and/or Diploma level). Strong understanding of Business Pack and/or Farm Pack insurance policies. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the claims team. Excellent at managing competing priorities and meeting targets. High attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Outstanding customer focus with the ability to develop long-term client relationships and add value.
