Class 4 Teacher at Mansfield Rudolf Steiner School 2025 Up to Full Time Ongoing 1.0 FTE Teachers at Mansfield Steiner School aim to take their classes from 1 through to Class 6. This class teacher period can be one of the most rewarding and unique experiences in teaching. Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver a comprehensive and engaging curriculum for Class 1 students according to the Australian Steiner Curriculum Framework, taking into consideration the Steiner philosophy and pedagogy. Design lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles and encourage critical thinking, artistic expression, and practical skills development. Classroom Management: Create a harmonious and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, cooperation, and a love for learning. Establish clear guidelines and expectations for behaviour, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Student Assessment and Progress Tracking: Monitor and assess students’ academic progress, social development, and personal growth. Provide regular feedback to students and their parents or guardians, offering support and guidance for their continued success. Steiner Education Training: Possess a Steiner education training certificate or demonstrate a strong willingness to complete Steiner education training. Familiarity with Steiner’s educational principles, such as age-appropriate learning, and the integration of arts, nature, and practical activities into the curriculum, is highly valued. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers, support staff, and the wider school community to promote a cohesive and holistic educational experience for students. Communicate openly and respectfully with parents or guardians, fostering strong partnerships to support the child’s learning journey. Child Safety Standards: Adhere to Mansfield Steiner School’s commitment to child safety standards and implement policies and procedures to ensure the physical and emotional safety of students including following appropriate protocols for reporting and responding to concerns or incidents. Requirements: Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in education and VIT registration. Previous Steiner education training is an advantage but a willingness to learn is essential. Experience: Teaching experience, preferably in a primary school setting is an advantage. Experience in a Steiner school or familiarity with Steiner education principles is highly desirable. Passion for Education: Demonstrated passion for education and a deep understanding of child development. A commitment to the principles of Steiner education and the ability to integrate them into daily teaching practices. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents or guardians, colleagues, and the wider school community. Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students and respond to changing educational requirements. Openness to collaborative decision-making and ongoing professional development. Child Safety Compliance: Commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe environment for children, including compliance with child safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
