Classroom Teacher (P-6) – Contract Term 2 to Term 4, 2025 Contract Type: Contract Position Part Time (0.40 FTE) Applications Close: 3 March 2025 Prince of Peace Lutheran College is seeking a Contract/Temp - Maternity Leave - Classroom Teacher (Y5) - 0.4 FTE Thursday and Friday. Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located at Everton Hills in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community. This is a contract position, FTE 0.4, Term 2 - Term 4. It is essential that applicants are flexible and collaborative in their approach to teaching and learning and have skills when working with other Year 5 class teachers. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and committed professionals who are enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated, and who are willing to support the Christian ethos of the College and develop as an educator in a team environment. SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College Demonstrated professional skills Ability to develop professional relationships with children Ability to develop professional relationships with staff, colleagues, parents and members of the community Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high quality teaching and learning programs Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Syllabus documents Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum Knowledge and Qualifications An appropriate tertiary qualification in education Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or able to obtain registration).
