Classroom Teacher Commencement Date: 19th April 2025 Employment Type: Full time, Fixed Term until 16th January 2026 Salary Range: Graduate $84,077 to Experienced Proficient Teacher $123,101 FTE Gross per annum plus 12.75% superannuation Closing Date for Applications: 7:00am, Monday 10th March 2025 This position holds a substantive permanent teaching position within Catholic Education, Diocese of Cairns. St Therese's School, Bentley Park St Therese's Parish School is an integral part of the Cairns Diocese and the Edmonton Parish. Located just 20 minutes south of Cairns City, St Therese's provides Catholic Education to an area that is currently referred to as the 'growth corridor' of Cairns. Today, it has an enrolment of approximately 620 students, Prep to Year 6. About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher to join our team. The role of the Teacher is to support the mission of the school through the enactment of the learning and teaching program. This involves: planning, preparing and delivering effective learning and teaching programs; contributing to the development and implementation of the school objectives and planning; ensuring that appropriate teachings are implemented in the classroom; contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment; and practically administering available resources. As a Teacher you will: Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and planning Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate.
