Our Climate and Sustainability services team is growing, and we are looking for the right candidate to support the delivery of a wide range of projects as we support our clients to meet their sustainability goals. We are looking for a Senior Climate Resilience Consultant who shares our enthusiasm and passion for shaping a better world. This is an opportunity to play an integral role in helping our clients understand how climate change will affect their businesses, assets, and people. The focus of this role is to provide services and support in the areas of Climate Risk, Adaptation, Resilience. You’ll be responsible to develop and manage projects, based on experience and capability, under the direction of the Resilience & Adaptation Team Lead. The Opportunity To lead the preparation of and/or conduct climate and disaster hazard, vulnerability, exposure, and risk assessments for policies, plans, strategies, and designs. To provide input on total project delivery for a broad range of city, infrastructure and building projects, incorporating climate and disaster risk drivers. To provide contextual background on climate, disaster, and sustainability policies, frameworks, and methodologies for projects in the region. To support Arup’s business development in this exciting, emerging field through proposal development, client engagement and delivering excellence. Is this role right for you? Degree in Geography, Climate Change, Environmental Management/Science/Engineering, Economics, Finance, or another relevant field, Master’s preferred. In-depth technical knowledge and 10+ years’ experience providing assistance in relevant areas, such as climate change adaptation (CCA), disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate finance, urban resilience, particularly in Australia. Proven ability to uphold high standards in work, meticulously reviewing all aspects to ensure accuracy and completeness. Demonstratable ability to create organized plans and execute them efficiently, managing resources to meet deadlines and adapting to changes. Proven ability to contribute constructively in cross-functional teams, valuing diverse perspectives and building respectful relationships to achieve goals.
