Fixed Term Position until March 2026 (Parental Leave) Part Time at 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 EFT) RN G4B Y1 Classification (YX11) Alfred Hospital, Heart and Lung Department The Department Alfred Cardiology is one of the leading cardiology services for the state and receives outpatient referrals spanning a broad range of cardiac conditions. Patients are referred to the Alfred Heart Centre to have their conditions diagnosed by specialist multidisciplinary teams, while accessing the various tests and imaging offered including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. The Heart Centre Clinic Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that patients are appropriately prepared for the consultation, assisting with clinical support and providing management of designated specialist clinics. A critical aspect of this role includes the management and scheduling of appointments and clinic wait lists to ensure KPI’s are achieved and the patient experience is excellent. The Position Summary The Heart Centre Clinic Coordinator is a patient-focused problem solver who works closely with Unit Heads, nursing and clerical teams. The Specialist Clinics, Alfred Heart Centre Clinic Coordinator holds the responsibility for ensuring proper patient preparation for consultation, they provide clinical support and oversee the management of designated Specialist Clinics. The Clinic Coordinator is in charge of guiding the patient through various subspecialty clinics including but not limited to General Cardiology, Arrhythmia, Structural Heart and Heart Failure Clinics. Critical aspects of this role include the triaging of internal and external cardiology referrals as well as the management and scheduling of appointments and clinic wait lists to ensure KPI targets are achieved.
