About the Role Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient-centred; evidence-informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. NICUS is the acronym for the Neonatal Intensive Care Units data collection, which reports annually on high-risk newborns for the NSW Health Mothers and Babies Report. The successful applicant must have the ability to work Monday to Friday shifts and must have computer and data entry skills. Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
