Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Neuropsychologist Senior, to deliver high level clinical Neuropsychology services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health. The Older Persons Mental Health Service provides contemporary, person-centred care delivered in a clinical community specialty to address the bio-psychosocial needs of consumers aged over 65 years within the mental health system. Neuropsychologist clinicians within the Older Persons Mental Health Service work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Key Responsibilities include: Deliver independent high-level Neuropsychology clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision, which includes conducting evidence-based neuropsychological and clinical assessments and interventions within inpatient and outpatient community settings in a timely, collaborative and culturally sensitive manner. Exercise professional judgement to manage a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care. Remuneration value up to $62,944 p.a., comprising salary rates $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.).
