The hospital performs Plastic & Reconstructive adult and paediatric surgery including after hours emergency hand trauma surgery. West Leederville Private Hospital features 8 overnight beds situated in the Ward, 5 Stage I recovery beds, 6 Stage II recovery beds and 3 Stage III Recliners. We are seeking experienced PACU and Anaesthetic Clinical Nurse to join our team on a full-time, part-time or casual basis. To be successful in your application for this position, you will need to demonstrate: Exceptional clinical skills Knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices An enthusiastic approach in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care A commitment to ongoing quality improvement The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Strong interpersonal skills and values Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia A minimum of 3 years cumulative post graduate experience in area of clinical specialty (i.e. surgical ward, scrub/scout, anaesthetic and/or immediate post anaesthetic nursing care) Demonstrated advanced clinical competency and leadership experience in ensuring evidence-based best practice incorporating where possible relevant research is always followed to ensure optimal quality and safe outcomes when providing nursing care. Demonstrated advanced level ability and experience in thinking critically, problem solving and working independently and interdependently within the multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal quality and safe outcomes for each patient. Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and supervise workloads of other staff. Demonstrated commitment to the ongoing development of own leadership and management skills Demonstrated commitment and application of quality improvement and risk management processes including the ability to initiate, coordinate and evaluate improvement activities Please note all applicants must currently possess the right to work in Australia.
